Our Chairman, His Excellency Faraj Bin Hamoodah Al Dhaheri received the Abu Dhabi Medal in appreciation for his contributions to the UAE.

He was honoured in appreciation for his contributions in the UAE, and the philanthropic and humanitarian work.

Born in Al Ain in 1947, H.E. Faraj Ali Bin Hamoodah regularly accompanied and supported the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in his role as President of the United Arab Emirates.

Inspired by the vision and values of Sheikh Zayed, H.E. Faraj dedicated his time to social responsibility and philanthropic work.

In 2010, H.E. Faraj established the ‘Bin Hamoodah Endowed Chair in Public Health’, becoming the cornerstone of Zayed University's Endowment Fund, which encourages advanced research and academic studies of benefit to the UAE.

H.E. Faraj Bin Hamoodah’s sense of civic duty also motivated him to contribute to the renaissance and development of UAE heritage by preserving the Bedouin tradition of camel farming and promoting camel racing.

H.E. Faraj has also served the UAE community through his membership in countless committees and councils, including the Federal National Council, the Board of Directors of Zakat Fund and a Trustee of UAE University. In 2015, he was also recognized by the Emirates Red Crescent for his generosity in support of the organisation’s humanitarian work.

Generosity is to give selflessly, to provide solely for the happiness of others, without seeking anything in return. He is a person whose values are demonstrated through his love for the UAE and his commitment to helping those in need.
